The 28-year-old forward averaged 21.9 points and shot 40.1 percent from 3-point range in his first season with the Thunder. But, George told the Washington Post he needed two procedures this summer after dealing with nagging injuries throughout 2017-18.

George said he had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in May and 18 to 20 ounces of blood aspirated from his right elbow. He said the elbow injury affected his ability to shoot.
