Parañaque Mayor Jun Bernabe reported that 8,000 needed to be rescued in various villages of the city, including residents of Merville and Multinational. Many people are now on their rooftops, he said. Three have died in Parañaque, he said.
Families were reported on the rooftop of many houses in Marikina and their relatives sent SOS messages. One message read: "Pls help my cousins in Provident village. They are now on the rooftop with their baby boy."
Ricky Valdez of the civic group, React, reported that around 78 people are on top of their roofs in Dela Costa 5, Phase 2, barangay Burgos, Rodriquez, Rizal. He also reported that many babies are suffering from the the rains and cold weather.
Valdez also reported that rubber boats were needed to rescue trapped residents in Viver Village, Korokan, Masambong, Quezon City.
ABS-CBN News also received a report that many houses in Filinvest 2 in Batasan Hills, Quezon City are also trapped by the floods, with many cars being swept away.
Around 120 people living along Capilingan St. in Araneta, Quezon City were reported to have left their houses to escape from the floods.
Around 90% of Cainta, Rizal were reported by Mayor Mon Ilagan to be under water.
Town and Country Homes in Antipolo, Rizal and neighboring subdivisions were also badly flooded, as of posting.
Former trade and industry information officer Butch Pajarillo reported that many people in Aniban, Bacoor needed to be rescued due to floods.
People were also reported trapped on their 2nd floors or rooftops in Sierra Monte Villas, Filinvest 2, Batasan in Quezon City.
Mario Caparas of phase 4, Palmera Subdivision, Fairview also said people in the village are on the rooftops and needed to be rescued.
In barangay Capri, Novaliches, around 250 families were reported affected by floods, with their rice supplies and animals swept away by floodwaters.
