Chevrolet is calling this the most powerful and fastest Corvette of all time. With a top speed quoted at “over 210 mph,” they’re not wrong. This wild car has a supercharger so tall that it sticks up through the hood in an old-school shaker-style carbon fiber scoop that we absolutely love. That larger displacement supercharger should in theory take care of the Z06's overheating issues, as it won’t have to spin as quickly to produce the same forced induction pressure.

The ZR1 is rated at 750 horsepower from the factory, which is measured at the crankshaft, of course. Considering drive line losses are different for each car, and are especially high when the car has to carry beefy transmission components, strengthened differentials, and hearty axles, an often cited rule of thumb (with no actual scientific backing) is to cut about 15% of the crankshaft horsepower to get a ballpark wheel rating. In order to match that, this ZR1 had to turn a number close to 640 horsepower.

After a couple of runs on this dynojet, the ZR1 put down a 668 horsepower number with 644 lb-ft of torque, meaning it lost just 11% of its power to drivetrain losses.
