Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao was lighter than expected as he and Mexican foe, Antonio Margarito, weighed in Friday night for their super welterweight fight at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Texas.

ABS-CBN correspondent Dyan Castillejo reported that Pacquiao came in at 144.6 lbs while Margarito weighed 150 lbs, the catch weight limit for the Saturday night fight.
Castillejo, meanwhile, said that Pacquiao missed his target weight of 147 lbs to 148 lbs.

She reported that Pacquiao was expected to come up to the ring on fight day not more than 149 lbs and Margarito would try to come in at 155 lbs to 160 lbs.

Castillejo said that according to boxing promoter Bob Arum, he has never seen the kind of disparity in weight in the modern era of boxing.

Aside from the big difference in weight, Margarito also stands 6 inches taller than Pacquiao.

Castillejo said that despite the big difference in height and weight, boxing analysts present at the weigh-in still believe that Pacquiao will dominate the fight with his speed and power.

Pacquiao and Margarito will battle for the vacant World Boxing Council super welterweight title.

The Filipino boxer is going for his 8th title and his 12th consecutive win since losing to Erik Morales in March 2005.
